This template is used to display an infobox of Korean name(s). Where used alongside another infobox it should be configured as a child module as in this edit, with no title parameter.
This template is a modified version of its parent and predecessor template, {{Infobox Korean name}}. It is designed and intended to completely replace its predecessor.
Changes from parent
[simbanai toud]- Semi-automatic romanization (both RR and MR) using Module:Ko-translit
- Ability to add references to Hangul, Hanja, IPA, and literal translations
- Some parameters have been renamed (e.g.
|koreanipa=Templat:Arrow|ipa=) for concision. |context=has been disabled. We always display "Hangul" and "Hanja", regardless of politics (explanation).- The language labels "Revised Romanization" and "McCune–Reischauer" have been abbreviated to "RR" and "MR" in order to make the infobox less bulky.

All parameters are optional, but we recommend you add at least one of the Hangul parameters.
Main parameters
[simbanai toud]|hangul=- Optional, but recommended and required if you wish for romanization to be generated. Hangul text, possibly with symbols to modify automatic romanization. Symbols won't appear when the Hangul is displayed. Do not wrap the text in a template like {{lang}}; this template already wraps it for you. For modern people, generally reserve this parameter for legal names; do not put a pseudonym (such as a stage name) here for them (unless their real name is not known).
|hangulref=- Optional. Reference or footnote for Hangul.
|hanja=- Optional. Hanja text. Do not wrap the text in a template like {{lang}}.
|hanjaref=- Optional. Reference or footnote for Hanja.
|lk=- Optional. English translation of term. Avoid using for people names.
|lkref=- Optional. Reference for translation.
|ipa=- Optional. IPA pronunciation for Korean term. Wrap it using {{IPA}} like
{{IPA|ko|this|}}; the final|disables the label. |iparef=- Optional. Ref for Korean IPA.

This parameter is mostly appropriate for whenhangulonly contains a typical person's name (1 surname character). If the name is atypical orhangulcontains other text besides a name, consider not using this parameter and instead inserting symbols manually intohangul. |capitalize=- Optional, default

Additional parameters

The following suffixes can be added to most of the above parameters. For example, |hangulho= or |hanjaref1=.
ho- Art name.
born- Birth name. For modern people, this is for the legal name at birth (when different from the current legal name).
ja- Courtesy name.
stage- Stage name.
ph- Posthumous name.
1,2,3- Other names that do not fall under other headings. For example,
|hangul1=.
To set headers for each of these names, use |othername1=, |othername2=, or |othername3=.
